The BX-L-N2N is a compact, U-shaped (slot-type) photoelectric sensor. It integrates an infrared emitter and a receiver into a single housing, designed to reliably detect opaque objects that pass through the slot.

This model is a 3-wire sensor with a standard NPN Normally Open (NO) output, making it easy to integrate with most PLCs and control systems. Its design is ideal for applications like edge detection, object presence, hole detection, and gear tooth counting. It is also commonly used as a label sensor to detect gaps between labels on a roll.

3. Wiring

 

The label provides the wire color functions for a standard 3-wire NPN output. The load (e.g., PLC input, relay) is connected between the output wire (Black) and the positive (+) supply.
