## Wiring & Pinout
The label on the sensor shows the standard 5-pin M12 connector wiring:
- Pin 1 (brn – Brown):
L+
(Power Supply, 12-30 V DC) - Pin 2 (wht – White):
Qa
(Analog Output) - Pin 3 (blu – Blue):
M
(Ground / 0V) - Pin 4 (blk – Black):
C/Q₁
(IO-Link Communication / Switching Output 1) - Pin 5 (gra – Grey):
Q₂
(Switching Output 2)
## Functionality
This sensor operates by sending a low-energy microwave pulse down a probe (rod or cable, not visible in the picture) that extends into the tank. When the pulse hits the surface of the liquid, it is reflected back to the sensor. The sensor measures the time it takes for the pulse to travel down and back, and from this, it calculates the exact level of the fluid
