3. Wiring & Connection

 

This encoder uses a parallel Gray code interface via its attached cable. The connection requires power, ground, and one wire for each of the 9 data bits.

  • Power (UP = US):
    • +VDC: Connect to 4.75 – 18 VDC
    • 0V (GND): Connect to 0V (Common)
  • Data (GRAY):
    • 9x Data Wires (Bit 0 to Bit 8): These wires represent the 9-bit parallel Gray code output. Each wire corresponds to a single bit of the position value.
