Keyence LR-Z Series Laser Sensor
Model: LR-ZB100CP
1. General Description
The Keyence LR-ZB100CP is a self-contained, BGS (Background Suppression) CMOS laser sensor. It is designed to reliably detect objects based on their distance, while ignoring variations in the target’s color, surface finish, or reflectivity. This makes it ideal for applications where target appearance changes, or where a background is close to the object.
This model features a sensing range of up to 100 mm, a robust metal housing, and a standard M12 connector with a PNP output. The “C” in the model number indicates an M12 connector, and the “P” indicates a PNP output.
Key Features 🎯
- Distance-Based BGS: Reliably detects targets by distance, ignoring color, gloss, or texture.
- Stable Detection: A large, 8mm-diameter spot (at 100mm) helps to average out uneven surfaces.
- Durable Housing: Features a robust, die-cast metal housing (IP67) for use in harsh environments.
- Simple Setup: Can be easily configured with a simple “one-touch” teach button.
- External Input: Allows for remote teaching, laser-off, or other functions.
- High-Visibility Indicator: A bright orange LED provides a clear indication of the output status.
